 Army sergeant’s wife deported to Honduras amid Trump administration’s immigration crackdown on military families The wife of an Army sergeant and mother of a 6-year-old was deported to Honduras Monday, as the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown increasingly affects spouses and parents of active-duty military personnel. Army Sgt. Hedar Leonel Turcios Juarez confirmed that his wife, Cristy Maryori Villafranca Trejo, had been deported. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Villafranca outside a Walmart in July while the couple’s young daughter was present, according to her husband. Villafranca had left Honduras in 2016 because of violence, he said. Turcios Juarez came to the United States from Honduras in 2014 for similar reasons. After attending high school in the U.S., he joined the Army and became a U.S. citizen in 2024 following a nine-month deployment to the Middle East. COMMANDING OFFICER DONATED EQUIPMENT TO IDPs IN BANKI,BORNO STATE.{PHOTOS}

     The outgoing Commanding Officer of 152 Battalion, 21 Brigade Nigerian Army, Lieutenant Colonel Peter Elayo has donated some equipment to the Internally Displaced Persons in Banki, Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
Presenting the equipment and items to the beneficiaries, the Commanding Officer noted that the donation was in line with the civil military activities aimed at ameliorating the plights of the Internally Displaced Persons in Banki Camp. He however urged them to continue to be law abiding citizens and promptly report any suspicious movement to the appropriate authorities.
The items donated includes a complete Barbing Saloon, a Tailoring Shed, 2 sets of football kits to the Banki IDPs football teams and a power generating set.
The beneficiaries also expressed happiness and commended the military for the sacrifices made in bringing peace back to Bama and the North East in general.
Lt Col Elayo who handed over to Lt Col I Ogundele was recently redeployed from 152 Battalion to Army Headquarters Department of Training and Operations.
