NIGERIAN MILITARY JET CRASHES IN NIGER. (PHOTO).

 Nigerian military jet crashes in Niger A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet has reportedly crashed near Karabonde, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, on Saturday evening, December 6. Unconfirmed reports from local sources clam that the two pilots onboard survived the incident after successfully ejecting from the aircraft. A Niger state-based digital television network, Lapai TV, announced the tragic incident  in a post on its official Facebook account on Saturday evening, December 6. The post, accompanied by a one-minute video, read, “Two Nigerian Air Force Pilots Reportedly Survive Alpha Jet Crash Close to Karabonde, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State”. It was reported that the two pilots successfully ejected before the aircraft went down. Meanwhile, the Nigerian military has yet to make any official statement concerning about the crash as of the time of filing this report.

INTERIOR MINISTER DIRECTS IMMIDIATE RELOCATION OF INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE AND COMMANDANT GENERAL, NIGERIA SECURITY AND CIVIL DEFENCE CORPS TO THE NORTH EAST.

       The Honourable Minister of Interior, Lt General (Rtd) Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, has directed the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris and the Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC), Abdullahi Mohammad Gana to relocate to the northeast and liaise with the theater commander of operation Lafiya Dole, the Governors of Yobe, Borno and Adamawa states to ensure the deployment of their personnel to all schools in the liberated areas in the three states.
This is sequel to the recent visit of the Federal Government delegation led by the Ministers of Interior and Information and Culture to Dapchi in Yobe state, where the Interior Minister, Lt General (Rtd) Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau then directed the Commissioner of Police and the Commandant of the NSCDC in Yobe state to ensure security presence in all schools in the liberated communities.
The Minister said that the directive has become necessary to forestall a re-occurrence of attack on innocent school children stressing that the Government is making efforts aimed at rescuing the Dapchi school girls and other Boko Haram captives, as evidenced by the commencement of 24 hours air surveillance by the Nigerian Air force.
In another development, the Minister has condemned recent clashes that resulted in loss of lives and property in Kajuru LGA of Kaduna state and urged security operatives to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
