  Tragedy Strikes As Promising Councillor Hon. Chukwuma Okpalauzuegbu Is Laid To Rest On Intended wedding Day  By Charity Ejiofor  A day that was meant to mark a joyful union has instead become one of deep sorrow for family, friends, and the Aguata community, following the sudden passing of Hon. Chukwuma Christopher Okpalauzuegbu, the councillor representating Amesi Ward. Hon. Okpalauzuegbu fondly known as Chuma, had been preparing to celebrate his wedding ceremony, an event filled with hope, promise and carefully laid plans. Loved ones, and sponsors, ready to stand beside him as he embark on a new chapter of life. In an unexpected and heart breaking turn of events, those dreams were cut short. NIGERIAN TROOPS ARREST HERDSMEN, RECOVER STRAYING CATTLE AT AWE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF NASARAWA STATE.{PHOTO}.

      In continuation of Exercise AYEM AKPATUMA, troops on patrol to Yeas, Kaseyo and Ukaa villages came across abandoned cattle grazing on a farm land. The cattle were driven out of the farm into custody in Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Similarly, troops while on patrol along road Ayilamo, Tomata and Kwantan Sule settlements accosted 3 herdsmen, armed with machetes deliberately grazing their cattle on a farmland thereby destroying it. Suspects were arrested and handed over to the police for further action.The patrol continues to protect communities and deny armed herdsmen / militia freedom of movement and action.
