 PRESS RELEASE  6TH OSOM GAMES TODAY DECLARED OPEN BY THE NSC CHAIRMAN.  The National Sports Commission (NSC) is making headlines once again with its commitment to promoting Nigerian athletes through regular internal competitions. Today, Mallam Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), declared the 6th OSOM Games open in a colourful ceremony at the Moshood Abiola International Stadium in Abuja. This statement reinforces the Commission's dedication to their Renewed Hope Initiative for Nigerian Sports Economy (RHINSE) mandate and their goal of turning sports from a field of consumption to one of production. The OSOM Games, which stands for One Service One Medal, is an inter-security agency competition that aims to foster unity and camaraderie among the various security agencies in Nigeria. SIERRA LEONE ELECTION CANCELLED TODAY.{PHOTO}#PRESS RELEASE.

         In an official statement sent in by a reliable source,it is clear and obvious that Sierra Leone election has been cancelled.The document above states:
                   Freetown,24 March 2018-The National Electoral Commission is aware that the High court has issued an interim injunction ,against the conduct of the run off Presidential election to be held on 27 March.The Commission awaits service of official documents,but understands that the matter will return to court on Monday,26 March.
                    Accordingly,while legal proceedings are on-going,the Commission will continue its practical and logical preparation for the run-off.
                    We call on the people of Sierra Leone to be patient as our institution s carry out their respective duties,in accordance with constitution.
                     In this time of uncertainty,we look forward to the continued support of the Sierra Leone Police and the security sector to secure NEC's premises,staff,and sensitive election materials.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
