A SWEET 6-YEAR-OLD BOY HAS LOST HIS LIFE DURING A DAY AT THE BEACH WHEN A PIECE OF DRIFTWOOD HIT HIM ON THE HEAD.(PHOTO).

 A sweet 6-year-old boy has lost his life during a day at the beach when a piece of driftwood hit him on the head. Killian Gonzalez and his sister were having a fun day at Little Squalicum Beach in Bellingham, Washington, on July 8th with their babysitter. As Killian was exploring a fort made from driftwood, something shifted, and a huge 200 pound log broke free and came tumbling straight for Killian.  Killian realized he was in danger and attempted to run, but sadly, he was not able to outrun the log. The huge log caught him in the back of the head and Killian fell to the ground. Killian was ultimately pinned to the ground under the log until help arrived. Killian's parents rushed to the beach after getting the call no parent ever wants to hear.  As they arrived, they were met by the sight of first responders desperately attempting to save their son's life.  Killian was flown to a nearby hospital that could manage his injuries.  Upon arrival, Killian was intuba...

It was the gathering of the sons and daughters of  Igboland. This annual  global  event  brings all and sundry in one platform.  it was put together by  Chief Edwin Nwokocha  President  World Igbo Congress and hosted by the Dr Anthony Ejiofor President  Igbo Community Association of Nigeria (ICAN), DFW Dallas/ Fort Worth. A major  event  that celebrates diversity, heritage and cultural values of the people of Ndi Igbo. The Theme for the event: “If We Build It, They Will Come”. An inspiring  message with a paradigm shift and synergistic approach that encourages more involvement  and economic development of the South East and Nigeria as a whole .The guest speakers for the event :Dr. Uche Ogah, Prof. Obi Nwakanma, MFA, PhD and Keynote Speaker: Prof. Bart O Nnaji, D.Sc, CON, FAS, FAENG. An award of honor was presented to recipients.The event was also graced by other invitees including Mr Kayode Laro Consular General Services and Diaspora Concerns,and Dr Celine Piri.
