 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. GENERAL USENI HAILS ORTOM'S FORESIGHT ON RANCHING.{PHOTOS}.

     Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District, retired Lieutenant General Jeremiah Useni has hailed Governor Ortom's foresight to adopt ranching as the global best practice of animal husbandry.
Senator Useni stated this today at Tse-Ikya, Mbagbera in Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State in his funeral oration at the burial of retired Brigadier General Stephen gbehe Ikya.
He described Governor Ortom as a courageous person who sees ahead, stressing that he stands with him in his vision.
Senator Jeremiah Useni, who is the Vice Chairman Senate Adhoc Committee on Defence said the National Assembly was behind the Governor in the struggle, stressing that the invitation of President Muhammadu Buhari to the senate was to explain the security situation in the country with Benue inclusive.
He acknowledged the relentless efforts of Senators George Akume and Barnabas Gemade for always bringing to the floor of the senate the wanton destruction of lives and property, while condemning the barbaric act in its entirety.Senator Useni condoled Governor Ortom and people of the state over the massacre of innocent family members and expressed hope that a permanent solution to the killings would be found soon.More photos below.
