 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity.       Thomas Markle, 73, knows hundreds of millions of people across the world will see his daughter, Meghan, 36, marry Prince Harry on May 19.
The former Hollywood lighting director apparently approves of the nuptials because Harry “worships the ground she walks on.”
But family members claim the reclusive 73-year-old, from Rosario Beach, Mexico, will be nervous ahead of the big day.
However, Thomas Markle hopes to shake off health fears, including a knee injury, to attend the ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
It had even been suggested that Meghan might have both her parents, who married in 1980, one year before the actor’s birth, give her away at the lavish reception.
Royal biographer Andrew Morton has written a book, ‘Meghan: A Hollywood Princess,’ about the family relationship.
In Mr Morton’s book, Thomas Markle Jr said: “I know how proud he will be to take her arm and walk her down that aisle.
“But I also know how terrified he will be.“If he doesn’t go, he will regret it for the rest of his life.
“He is not just representing his family, he is representing America.”
Meghan’s father divorced her mother, Doria, who went on to become a social worker, when the Royal-to-be was just six-years-old.Her father has not yet met Prince Harry, although the pair have spoken many times.Now Meghan is closer with her mother - but not with her half-siblings.Doria, 61, met the “amazing” Prince Harry at last year’s Invictus Games in Toronto, Canada.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
