     A press release by the Kensington palace yesterday reads '' Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs.The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz and The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.The Queen,The Duke of Edinburgh,The Prince of Wales,The Duchess of Cornwall,Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and delighted with the news.Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well''.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have left St Mary's Hospital in London with their new arrival, a baby boy yesterday.Their Royal Highnesses have thanked all staff at the hospital for the care and treatment they have received, and thanked members of the public for their warm wishes.Yesterday afternoon a notice was placed on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace following the announcement of the birth. More photos below.
