  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. Abuja-based businessman beaten to death in Enugu.
      According to sources, who just sent in this photos with the caption ''An Abuja-based businessman, Chinedu Nzegwu, has been beaten to death by unknown evil men in Enugu State.
This was made known by his friends, colleagues and former schoolmates who took to their Facebook accounts to mourn his untimely death.Chinedu, who lives in Abuja until his death, is a former student of Dennis Memorial Grammar School DMGS, Onitsha, Anambra State and a graduate of the University of Port-Harcourt.He was reportedly attacked by yet-to-be-identified people who left him for death after hitting him with a big stick on the head.It was gathered that the sad incident happened few days before his planned return to Abuja.Meanwhile, reason for his killing is not yet known''.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
