 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. DERIN ADEBIYI EMERGES OGUN APC CHAIRMAN.{PHOTOS}

      Senior Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Chief Derin Adeniyi, has emerge the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in the state.
Adebiyi, who emerged unopposed, with a total of 1712, out of the total 1730 votes cast at the party's State Congress, held at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, promised to carry out an all inclusive politics.
He attributed the peaceful conduct of the congress to the exceptional leadership quality of the governor, saying the era of indiscipline in party politics is over.
Commending Amosun for how he was able to ensure.the growth of the party, he expressed optimism that the APC will emerge victoriou, with a landslide victory in the 2019 polls.
In his welcome address, former party Chairman in the state, Alhaji Tajudeen Lemboye, thanked the party for the opportunity given him and his team to serve, appealing to the newly elected party executive members to continue the good work and keep the party's flag flying.
The State Congress Chairman for the state, Rev. Peter Obadan, who announced the result, in his speech, appreciated party faithful and delegates for peacefully conducting themselves in a manner that ensured the victory of the congress.
He noted that success without a worthy successor is a failure, adding that the turnout, unity and harmony, witnessed, was a pointer to the fact that the party is ready to elect a worthy successor to Amosun.The governor, in his address, appreciated the delegates and party faithful for the successful outcome of the congress, urging the Adebiyi-led executive to work towards building a formidable party.More photos below.
