  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”. NIGERIAN ARMY REPELS ATTACK, NEUTRALIZE BOKO HARAM AT GASHIGAR.#PRESS RELEASE.

      1. Troops of operation LAFIYA DOLE on clearance operation at Gashigar repelled an attack and neutralized 6 Boko Haram terrorists.
2. Some of the terrorists were also wounded during the encounter.
3. Items recovered include
a. 1 Anti aircraft Gun.
b. 4 AK47 rifles.
c. 6 AK47 Magazines.
d. 2 Mortar Bombs.
e. 2 Gun Trucks.
4. Unfortunately, two soldiers were wounded during the operation.
5. Similarly, troops successfully cleared Gambori, Dumbawa, Damsu, Awardi, Kanaram, Laridi, Malumdi and Yuramdi villages.
6. Items recovered include;
a. One Refrigerator.
b. One 14inch TV.
c. two DVDs.
d. A box filled with drugs.
7. Efforts are on to arrest fleeing other members of the terrorists group.
