 Beloved actor Ras Ajai, 47, 'shot dead' while walking down a street A beloved film star and musician has di£d. Ras Ajai, whose real name was Brian Todd Boucher, played JLP political enforcer Claudie Massop in the 2024 film Bob Marley: One Love biopic. He was reportedly shot in Waterford, St. Catherine, Jamaica, at the age of 47. He rubbed shoulders with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they arrived at the movie's Jamaican premiere. Another person is reported to have sustained injuries during the assault, which remains under investigation by St Catherine South Police. Sources say the reggae and dancehall artist, vocalist and composer was walking down a street with a companion on Saturday, August 1, when they were attacked by armed criminals travelling in a vehicle. One of the attackers allegedly exited the car and unleashed gunfire on the duo and Ras was shot several times before they fled in the motor.      Today The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of York and The Countess of Wessex, hosted the first of the annual Buckingham Palace Garden Parties.
Her Majesty and Their Royal Highnesses met and chatted to a number of today's 8,000 guests, who are invited from all walks of life. Garden Parties have been held at Buckingham Palace since the 1860s and are a way of recognising and rewarding public service.Usually Almost 30,000 people are invited to Garden Parties.
The Queen, The Duke of York and The Earl and Countess of Wessex arrive on the West Terrace for the National Anthem, which today was played by the Band of the Irish Guards.Yeoman of the Guard act as Royal Bodyguard to the Sovereign at Garden Parties.
The Yeoman were created in 1485 by King Henry VII & are the oldest Military Corps still existing in the UK.More photos below.
