 CSO/MEDIA REVIEW: HEALTH MINISTER PATE SCORES FG HIGH  ON HEALTH SECTOR REFORMS The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, says civil society organisations play a critical role in strengthening Nigeria’s health system by providing feedback, identifying gaps and helping government translate policies into programmes that improve lives. The CSO/Media-Led Mid-Year Review of Nigeria’s Health Sector Reforms and Policy Dialogue on Monday, Prof. Pate stressed the need for sustained engagement between government, civil society and other stakeholders to achieve better health outcomes. The Minister said the Federal Government, under President Bola Tinubu, recognises that rebuilding the health system after years of underinvestment will take time. ARMY ARRESTS SUSPECTED MEMBERS OF A MILITIA GANG IN BENUE STATE.#PRESS RELEASE.

      1. Troops of 72 and 93 Battalions have arrested two suspected members of a militia gang terrorizing residents of Katsina Ala in Benue State and its environs following a tip off.
2. Items recovered include:
a. One locally made gun.
b. One pistol.
c. Seven rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.
d. Nine rounds of 9mm ammunition.
3. Preliminary investigation revealed that they belong to a notorious militia gang led by one Mr Gana who is now at large.
4. Efforts are on to arrest other members of the gang including their leader.
5. The public is once again reminded to report any suspicious activities in their areas to the law enforcement agents.
