 ASUU–ABSU SUSPENDS THREE-WEEK-OLD INDEFINITE STRIKE The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abia State University Branch, wishes to inform the University community, all stakeholders and the general public that, following the resolution of Congress held today, Friday, 28th August, 2026, the Branch has suspended its three-week-old comprehensive industrial action with immediate effect. The decision of Congress followed a careful assessment of developments since the commencement of the strike and, particularly, the concrete steps taken towards addressing some of the major issues that necessitated the industrial action. Foremost among these is the full implementation of the 2025 FGN–ASUU salary structure, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), which has now been reflected in the August 2026 salaries of academic staff of Abia State University. LAGOS SET FOR U-15 DEAF SPORTS SCHOOL GAMES FROM JUNE 19TH-22ND.

     The Lagos State Sports Commission has concluded all arrangements for the 4th edition of the Under-15 Deaf Sports School Games scheduled for June 19 – 22 at the Agege Township Stadium.
The Games, sponsored by Lagos State Government, will feature three sports performed by the Deaf at the grassroots level – Athletics, Table Tennis and Badminton.
According to the Executive Chairman of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Dr. Kweku Tandoh, the objective of this Competition is to key into the Sports Commission’s Programme of focusing on the development of young talents through discovery, nurturing and training.
He said the Games will also serve to prepare the Athletes for the National Championships slated for later in the year.No fewer than 500 students from 35  Schools across the six Education districts in Lagos State will take part in the Competition.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
