 Flu outbreak hits Air Force basic training in Texas after vaccine mandate lifted, with 159 cases reported among recruits    A flu outbreak is affecting Air Force basic training in San Antonio, Texas, with at least 159 confirmed cases and two hospitalizations reported among recruits as health officials respond to a cluster of infections at Joint Base San Antonio. The outbreak developed over the past several weeks and has prompted medical staff to isolate symptomatic trainees, treat cases, and monitor those who were in close contact with infected individuals. Officials said additional cases and hospitalizations are still being assessed. An Air Force spokesperson confirmed the situation, describing it as a localized influenza outbreak within the basic military training program.      1. Troops deployed in operation LAST HOLD have been advised to keep to the rules of engagement while carrying out assigned task.
2. The Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Brigadier General Abdulmalik Bulama Biu gave the advice on Saturday 2 June 2018 while addressing troops at Gemtillo, Maiduguri. He charged the troops to put in their best towards ending the Boko Haram Terrorists menace.
3. The Acting GOC said he was in the camp to motivate the troops and expressed delight with their state of morale.
4. He added that a lot has been achieved by troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE on ground, urging them to maintain the momentum.
5. General Biu further advised the troops to shun any acts that would distract them from attaining their objective.
6. He was accompanied during the visit by some Principal Staff Officers of the Division.
