 Legendary actor Manoj Kumar dies at 87: ‘Roti Kapada Aur Makaan’ director breathes his last in Mumbai Manoj Kumar, the Bollywood actor and filmmaker, renowned for his patriotic films, passed away at the age of 87 at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The cause of his death was identified as cardiogenic shock due to acute myocardial infarction, according to medical reports. The medical reports confirmed that apart from a severe heart attack that took away his life, Manoj had been battling decompensated liver cirrhosis for the past few months, ANI reported. Following deteriorating health condition, he was admitted to the hospital on February 21, 2025. Popularly known as ‘Bharat Kumar,’ Manoj Kumar was an exceptional director and actor who was honoured with National Film Award. 5 FEARED DEAD AS A BOAT FROM CMS TO IKORODU CAPSIZED TODAY.

Image result for lagos boat capsize     About five persons were feared dead when a boat capsized in Lagos on Wednesday evening.An eyewitness told newsmen that the boat was travelling from CMS to Ikorodu.
Bodies of the victim of the accident were brought to the jetty at Ipakodo in Ikorodu, on the outskirts of Lagos.
Lagos State police spokesman, Chike Oti, who confirmed the incident, noted that sixteen persons were rescued.
“The information reaching us from the Marine unit of the command reveals that five persons died in the Boat mishap, while 16 persons were rescued alive, Oti said.
“Our marine team is still combing the waters to see if there are other victims in the water.“The Commissioner of police, CP Imohimi Edgal has ordered the officer in charge of the marine unit to investigate the remote cause of the Boat accident.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
