 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways. ARMY NAB SUSPECTED ILLICIT DRUG PEDDLERS IN BAUCHI STATE.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

   1. Troops of 33 Brigade deployed at the Forward Operation Base, Yuga in Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi state have arrested two suspected illicit drug peddlers during a raid operation at a suspected hoodlums hideout in Filin Kokuwa.
2. Items recovered include:
a. One polythene bag containing weeds suspected to be marijuana.
b. 85 wraps of substance suspected to be marijuana.
c. Some quantities of tramadol.
d. Six tubes of rubber solutions.
e. Five mobile handsets.
3. The suspects have been handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for further action.
4. Members of the public are reminded to report any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest security agency for prompt action.
5. You are please requested to disseminate this information to the general public.
