 MODEL COLLEGES/UPGRADED JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS COMMENCE E-REGISTRATION FOR YEAR 2025 ENTRANCE EXAMINATION The Lagos State Government has commenced Year 2025 e-Registraton Entrance Examination (Screening Test) for primary 6 pupils transiting to junior secondary schools into its Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.  The Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu confirmed that the e-Registration will commence on Thursday 6th February and ends on Friday, 16th May, 2025, adding that the Screening will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) only between Wednesday, 28th May and Friday, 30th May, 2025, at the various CBT designated centres across the State. Mr. Orunsolu stressed that qualified pupils from public and private Schools are to pay a sum of #10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) for the Application. CUSTOMS IN TINCAN GENERATED OVER N162 BILLION THIS YEAR SO FAR.#PRESS RELEASE.

     HALF YEAR REPORT OF TINCAN ISLAND PORT COMMAND FROM JANUARY TO JUNE 2018
The Tincan Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service generated a total of One Hundred and Sixty-Two Billion, Seven Hundred and One Million, Seven Hundred and One Thousand, One Hundred and Thirty-Six Naira and Eighty-Three Kobo (N162,701,701,136.83).
This is against the sum of One Hundred and Thirty Billion, Six Million, One Hundred and Thirty-Six Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety-Six Naira and Thirty-Six Kobo (N130,006,136, 996.36) generated in the corresponding period of 2017.
This represents a difference of Thirty-Two Billion, Six Hundred and Ninety-Five Million, Five Hundred and Sixty-Four Thousand, One Hundred and Forty Naira and Forty-Seven Kobo (N32,695,564,140.47).

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
