 LAWMA Waste, Investigation, Surveillance and Enforcement operatives on night duty have apprehended two environmental offenders along the Jibowu and Ojota corridors of Ikorodu Road for engaging in illegal waste collection and indiscriminate disposal of refuse at unauthorized locations. The suspects, were arrested during routine surveillance operations after being found carrying out activities that constitute environmental nuisance and undermine approved waste management processes, despite repeated warnings and sensitization efforts. The offenders are being transferred to the Oshodi Task Force Office for prosecution through the Mobile Court in accordance with the environmental protection laws of Lagos State. LAWMA reiterates that illegal waste collection and indiscriminate dumping remain punishable offences. PLATEAU KILLINGS: PERPETRATORS WOULD BE PROSECUTED IN JOS LALONG.{PHOTOS}.

         Gov Simon Lalong of Plateau state  on Tuesday said The suspects arrested following killings in some communities in Plateau State will be prosecuted in Jos.
He stated this in Jos while receiving members of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) on a condolence visit to the Governor .Gov Lalong who enumerated proactive steps taken to engender peace, called for prayers for the peace of the state.
Lalong vowed that his adminstration would ensure that the culprits are prosecuted .
All we want is justice ,he said .
Earlier in his speech, the National President, of PFN, Rev. Dr. Felix Omobode said the were in the State to condole with the government and people of the state.
Omobode condemned the attack and called for  the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators.
The PFN National President was accompanied by Bishop Francis Wale Oke, the Deputy President and Apostle Emmanuel Kure of Throneroom Ministry, amongst others.More photos below.
