 “We Don’t Want Violent Politics In Kaduna,” Group Tells Political Parties, Urges Them to Call Supporters To Order The Kaduna Peace Ambassadors Forum has called on political parties in Kaduna State to caution their supporters and prevent further violence following recent clashes involving members of major political parties in the state. The group said Kaduna had enjoyed relative peace for a long period and should not return to an era of violent politics. In a statement, the forum expressed concern that political disagreements and clashes in the past had sometimes escalated into religious conflicts, with consequences for communities across the state. It therefore called on security agencies to take appropriate measures to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the recent clashes, while strengthening preventive measures to avoid a recurrence. SENATOR AKUME CONDOLES WITH PLATEAU GOV. TODAY OVER KILLINGS.{PHOTO}.


      Former Governor of Benue state  and serving Senator representing   Sen George Akume on Friday paid a condolence visit on the Executive Governor of Plateau State Simon Lalong  over the recent attacks in Gashish Districts and other parts of the Northern Senatorial districts of the state which led to the loss of over 200 lives.
A statement by Emmanuel Nanle ,the director of Press and Public affairs to Gov Lalong Emmanuel Nanle reads that  The Senator commiserated with the entire peace loving people of the state and called on all to rally round the governor as he joins hands with the federal government to put an end to the repeated attacks by marauding herdsmen which he said are not only limited to plateau. He said" this is the time for plateau to stand united and not to allow any political or ethnic difference make citizens loose sight of the common collective battle it must fight for the restoration peace".The statement also reads that the Ex Governor was accompanied by some stakeholders from Benue state.
