France records hottest day ever as exceptional early summer heat wave grips Europe     France recorded its hottest day in history on Tuesday as an exceptionally early and intense summer heat wave blanketed Europe, endangering millions and disrupting daily life across the continent. The country’s national thermal indicator—a calculated nationwide average from 30 weather stations—surpassed all previous historic milestones to reach 29.8°C (85.6°F), eclipsing the previous high-water marks set during severe heat waves in August 2003 and July 2019. Individual weather stations also recorded daytime highs surging past 40°C (104°F). The extreme weather has already proven fatal, with 40 drownings reported over the past week as people, primarily youth, sought relief from the stifling conditions.       The police in Lagos police said they arrested 57 men for alleged homosexual activity at Kelly Ann Hotel/ Event Centre in Egbeda, Lagos, on Sunday morning.Imohimi Edgal, the state police commissioner, said police officers acting upon an information provided by a reliable source, stormed the hotal at 2 am.
“On arrival, young men numbering about 80 were met in a hall taking different types of drinks including banned substance like Tramadol, Shisha laced with substances suspected to be Marijuana,” Mr Edgal added.When I watched their parade this morning,one of the accused is claiming his HIV positive and he needs to take his drugs.That his a dancer,and he came to perform because his birthday was a day before he was arrested.People should be re-informed that the act of homosexuality in Nigeria is a serious crime that attracts ten to fourteen years imprisonment.One more photo below.
