 GOVERNOR UZODIMMA CALLS FOR LOVE, UNITY, HIGHLIGHTS PROGRESS IN IMO STATE  In his Easter message delivered after the Holy Eucharist at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Parish in Omuma, Oru East LGA, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma CON, emphasized the central theme of the Easter season — Love. The Governor called on citizens to extend the spirit of Easter beyond mere celebration, encouraging them to embody love, unity, and compassion in their daily interactions and civic responsibilities. He commended the people of Imo State for their steadfast commitment to these virtues and urged continued efforts to promote a caring and united society. BENUE STATE SCHOOL OF NURSING TO COMMENCE DEGREE PROGRAM.{PHOTOS}.

     The Benue State School of Nursing is ready to commence a bachelor degree program in Nursing Sciences.
This is coming after the Nigerian Universities Commission, NUC gave approval to the college of health sciences, Benue State University, Makurdi to begin the program in Nursing Sciences.
The NUC during their visit said the the school has enough infrastructure to enable it run as an independent faculty if not for inadequate manpower.
The NUC came in following the express approval given by the Governor on all the recommendation put forward by a committee which was constituted to work out the modalities.
Notable among the recommendations was the absorption of Staff with relevant qualifications into the university system as well as employment of new ones.
As it stands now, the school has become the department of Nursing Sciences, College of Health, Sciences Benue State University, Makurdi which shall be awarding degrees through a 5 year study program.
It will be recalled that Governor Samuel Ortom on his assumption of Office met the school without accreditation for 3 years, upgraded infrastructure, recruited more staff and secured accreditation for the school.Admissions into the program is likely to commence in few months time through a process to be announced by the university.More photos below.
