 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. KWANKWASO SUPPORTERS INVOLVED IN FATAL ACCIDENT ON THEIR WAY TO ABUJA.{PHOTOS}.

       Some Kwankwasiyya members who were travelling to Abuja ahead of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso's official declaration on Wednesday, have been involved in a fatal accident. According to reports, the Kwankwaso supporters were on their way to Abuja from Kano state, the senator's area before the tragic incident.
Many passengers were injured and some others feared dead in the crash.
Meanwhile, other supporters have successfully arrived Abuja for Kwankwaso's presidential declaration on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Former Governor of Kano state, Rabiu Kwankwaso has accused the Federal Government of trying to frustrate his official declaration to run for President earlier slated to hold at the Eagle Square Abuja on Wednesday, August 29, 2018.This was made known in a statement issued by Kwankwaso Campaign Organisation on Tuesday, August 28, 2018.More photos below.
