Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011. Previous attempts to move the case forward were blocked because the claims were made years after the alleged incidents, with courts initially ruling that the delayed discovery doctrine did not apply.       1. The Nigerian Army is set to hold its Combat Support Arms Training ( COSAT) Week in Maiduguri, Borno State from Monday 13 - Friday 17 August 2018.
2. The training week which will be hosted by the Headquarters Nigerian Army Corps of Artillery has as its theme, “Strengthening Combat Support Arms Cooperation in Contemporary Security Challenges".
3. Combat Support Arms Training week is an annual event for the combat support units of the Nigerian Army to brainstorm, share and exchange ideas.
4. Activities lined up for the week-long event include lectures, discussions, simulations exercises and display of new innovations by Combat Support Arms.
5. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, senior military officers and other invited guests are expected to be in attendance.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
