 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state. ABIA YOUTHS BLOCKED ALL ROADS YESTERDAY AFTER AN OKADA RIDER WAS KILLED BY A UNIFORM MAN.{PHOTOS}.

   According to newsmen angry youths of Isiala Ngwa in Abia state have blocked all roads following the death of an Okada rider in the Area yesterday.Sources gathered that the Okada rider was killed by a navy man over misunderstanding on Monday morning.
Eye witnesses informed newsmen that the Okada rider fell and died on the spot after he was allegedly hit by the Naval officer.After the death of the man, the security operative was nowhere to be found which made the youths to start setting things ablaze demanding for the soldier who hit the Okada rider to be provided.As at the time of writing this report, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Senator Chikwendu Kalu was seen trying to calm the youths down in order to maintain peace.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
