 11th April 2025 PRESS RELEASE THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE, IGP KAYODE EGBETOKUN PhD, NPM COMMISSIONS NEWLY BUILT UGBORIKOKO DIVISIONAL HEADQUARTERS AND TWO OPERATIONAL VEHICLE DONATED BY TANTITA SECURITY SERVICE NIGERIA LTD. It was all celebrations and excitement as the good people of Ugborikoko community in Uvwie LGA witnessed the commissioning of the newly built Ugborikoko Modern Police Station. The building which was built and furnished by Tantita security service Nigeria LTD contains state of the art facilities which includes a constructed quarter guard post, a dedicated generator house, drainage construction to ensure a healthy and safe environment, and reconstruction of the police hall giving it a modern and functional design. The commissioned project also includes two hilux vehicles for operational mobility,  30KVA soundproof generator and a 30KVA solar system to ensure uninterrupted power supply, CCTV cameras and computer systems to enhance surveillance and digita...

FLOOD UPDATE: NEMA INAUGURATES 5 EMERGENCY OPERATION CENTRES.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

    The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency, Engr. Mustapha Maihaja has inaugurated five Emergency Operation Centres (EOC) to facilitate prompt search and rescue operations as well as humanitarian supports in the twelve (12) states worst affected by flooding.
The five Emergency Operation Centres with eight personnel each includes; EOC ā€œAā€ is to cover Niger and Kwara states; EOC ā€œBā€ is to cover Kogi and Edo states; EOC ā€œCā€ is to cover Benue, Taraba and Adamawa states; EOC ā€œDā€ is to cover Anamabra and Delta states while EOC ā€œEā€ will cover Rivers and Bayelsa states.

The Emergency Response Centres will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing and supervising deployment of resources with the affected state governments and local authorities and communities. The primary objective is to localize the responses and expedite intervention to save lives and facilitate quick recovery.
At command centre in Abuja, the Director General of NEMA and other chief executives will be responsible for the formulating of policy and operational guidelines for the conduct of emergency operation in all the worst affected states.The centres operations are to commence immediately while expecting them to utilize the facilities and personnel of the agencyā€™s zonal and operation offices and other critical stakeholders.
