 Over 25 million phones stolen in one year – FG The Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey report of the National Bureau of Statistics, a Federal Government agency, shows that Nigeria recorded 25.35 million phone theft cases between May 2023 and April 2024. According to the report, this was the most common type of crime within the period under review. The report read, “The number of crimes experienced by individuals in Nigeria was analysed over a period of time. The results show that theft of phones (25,354,417) was the most common crime experienced by individuals, followed by consumer fraud (12,107,210) and assault (8,453,258). However, hijacking of cars (333,349) was the least crime experienced by individuals within the reference period.” It also noted that most phone theft cases occurred either at home or in a public place, and about 90 per cent of such cases were reported to the police. KWARA STATE SET SEPT 11-17TH FOR TEACHERS PROMOTION INTERVIEW.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has announced Tuesday, September 11th, 2018 as the date for the commencement of promotion interview exercise for Teaching and Non-teaching staff under the Commission.
The Venue of the Exercise is St. Anthony Secondary School, Offa road, Ilorin.
This was made known in a statement released by the Executive chairman of TESCOM, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulrasaq in Ilorin on Friday.
He disclosed that the interview exercise is for those on level 8 to 17 who were due for promotion between 2015 and 2017 and sat for the examination on the 26th of May, 2018.
Alhaji Abdulrasaq added that prior to the interview exercise, all concerned officers are required to report at the TESCOM headquarters on Monday, 10th, September 2018 by 8:00am to obtain their interview form.
According the chairman, schedules for the interview are: Tuesday, 11th September GL07 to 08, 08 to 09, Wednesday 12th; GL09 to 10, 10 to 12, Thursday 13th; GL 12 to 13, 13 to 14, Friday 14th; GL 14 to 15, 15 to 16 and Monday 17th GL 16 to 17.
The Chairman said all candidates are required to come to the interview venue with the following documents, original credential, letter of first appointment, letter of Confirmation of appointment, all letters of promotions and staff identification card.
