 There was no evidence that he slept with the girl” – Yomi Fabiyi gives update on Baba Ijesha’s case Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has given an update on embattled Yoruba actor Baba Ijesha’s case. Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. MAGISTRATE IMPRESSED ABOUT EFCC'S CELL.{PHOTOS}.

     The Chief Magistrate Administration of Oyo State, N. A. J. Ogunbona (Mrs) paid an inspection visit to the Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC today, 21 September, 2018 to inspect the state of the Commission’s Cell.
The visit was in line with Sections 36 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act and 35 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law, Oyo State. It was also born out of the recent circular from the Chief Justice of the Federation, mandating all Chief Magistrates to visit all detention facilities within their jurisdiction and take register of suspects in custody and the length of their detention and as well make an appropriate order.
While inspecting the cells, the Magistrate was pleased with the outcome of the cell. According to her, “I came in unannounced and I can see you take hygiene seriously because I noticed how neat your cell looks. I also noticed that your inmates are comfortable”.
The Zonal Head, Abdulrasheed Bawa appreciated her for the inspection. According to him “I want to thank you for the inspection and also to let you know that we operate in best international standards. The result you got today remains standard and we ensure that our suspects are comfortable. We also give them three square meals and allow them access to visitors. We are aware of their rights and privileges and our suspects are detained within the provisions of the law”.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
