A MANHUNT IS UNDERWAY FOR MAN WHO SHOT A GRANITE CITY POLICE OFFICER MULTIPLE TIMES.(PHOTO).

  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. GOV. ORTOM EMBARKS ON 10-DAY WORKING LEAVE.#PRESS RELEASE.

        Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom will today proceed on a 10-day working leave.
The working leave which will form part of the Governor's annual leave, will terminate on October 31, 2018.
In a letter of notification to the Benue State House of Assembly, Governor Ortom stated that his Deputy, Engineer Benson Abounu will act as Governor of the State, in line with Section 190 of the Country's Constitution.
He urged the State House of Assembly to accord the Deputy Governor every support and cooperation within the period.
