 Walton, Kentucky- 2 elderly women lose their lives and another individual is critically injured in a crash that caused a dump truck to crash through restaurant.  While diners were enjoying a meal at Boondocks Pub on Tuesday, April 8th, a tragic incident occurred shattering the peaceful scene. At around 4:30 p.m. an SUV pulled out in front of a fully loaded dump truck. The driver of the dump truck attempted to brake and steer clear of the SUV but they were not able to avoid a collision. The SUV was struck by the dump truck and the impact caused the SUV to cross the southbound lane where it struck a guardrail and flipped before coming to rest on its top. Sadly the crash took the lives of 91-year-old Eva Mulberry and 89-year-old Betty Holland. A 66-year-old woman who was in the SUV was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. GOV. ORTOM MEETS EVACUATED UNIJOS STUDENTS TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

     Governor Samuel Ortom this morning met students of the University of Jos who were evacuated by the state government from the school on account of the security situation.
He sympathized with the institution and the Plateau State Government and prayed that the situation would improve.
Governor Ortom stated that as a state which has experienced a similar situation he appreciated the pains and anguish.
He expressed his condolence to those who lost loved ones and urged the Federal Government to rise up to its responsibility of protecting lives and property.
According to him all the agencies for the enforcement of the laws and provision of security belong to the Federal Government.
The Governor suggested the establishment of state police to help tackle the challenge.
He said the security agencies lacked adequate personnel and equipment adding that the provision of security was expensive. 
Governor Ortom stressed that the Ranching Law had come to stay adding that hundreds who have violated it have been arrested and prosecuted with several of them who could not pay fines serving prison terms.
He stated that he left the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, because the Federal Government which the party controls deliberately refused to arrest those responsible for widespread killings in the state.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
