 Anambra Govt Warns Against Purchase of Encroached Land at Trans-Nkissi By MaryAnn Chukwuma The Anambra State Ministry of Lands has warned members of the public against purchasing plots at TransNkissi Phase 1, behind the Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha, from persons claiming ownership on behalf of the Umuosodi family of Onitsha. The warning was contained in a public notice dated Sept. 28, 2026, with Ref. No. PS/ML/2026/CR/VOL.II/028 and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Nkeiru Mokwe, for the Commissioner. According to the notice, the Ministry became aware that persons alleged to be members of the Umuosodi family had invaded and commenced clearing portions of the land with the intention of selling them to unsuspecting members of the public. It said compensatory plots had been allocated to the family and other families in Onitsha before the current administration. GOV. ORTOM MEETS EVACUATED UNIJOS STUDENTS TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

     Governor Samuel Ortom this morning met students of the University of Jos who were evacuated by the state government from the school on account of the security situation.
He sympathized with the institution and the Plateau State Government and prayed that the situation would improve.
Governor Ortom stated that as a state which has experienced a similar situation he appreciated the pains and anguish.
He expressed his condolence to those who lost loved ones and urged the Federal Government to rise up to its responsibility of protecting lives and property.
According to him all the agencies for the enforcement of the laws and provision of security belong to the Federal Government.
The Governor suggested the establishment of state police to help tackle the challenge.
He said the security agencies lacked adequate personnel and equipment adding that the provision of security was expensive. 
Governor Ortom stressed that the Ranching Law had come to stay adding that hundreds who have violated it have been arrested and prosecuted with several of them who could not pay fines serving prison terms.
He stated that he left the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, because the Federal Government which the party controls deliberately refused to arrest those responsible for widespread killings in the state.One more photo below.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
