LASU’s 28th Convocation: 192 Bag First-Class Degrees A total of 192 students will graduate with First-Class honors as Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, holds its 28th convocation ceremony. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello announced this on Thursday during a press briefing at the university’s Senate building. She revealed that out of 8,711 first-degree graduates, 192 earned First-Class, while 3,076 finished with Second-Class Upper Division. Additionally, 4,397 secured Second-Class Lower, 990 earned Third-Class, and 39 graduated with a pass. Olatunji-Bello named Nwosu Isioma Sybil of the Biochemistry Department, with a CGPA of 4.93, as the overall best-graduating student for the 2023/2024 academic session. Among the 2,235 postgraduate students, LASU will award 302 postgraduate diplomas, 1,132 academic master’s degrees, 639 professional master’s degrees, 125 Ph.D.s, and 37 professional doctorates.
