 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region.       A former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki, has written the Abuja division of the Federal high court on his intention to avoid appearing in court for trial until the Prosecution obeys the court’s ruling on his bail. Dasukiis facing trial for alleged illegal possession of firearms and other charges. In the letter, Dasuki states that he has been granted bail by numerous courts which was not obeyed by the federal government.
