 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion. ''I have realised during election time,  it is a time for allegations, lies, insulting personalities, propagandas, violence and other vices being perpetuated by politicians, agents and their supporters. My belief is that when it is serving about the people, people should be fed with manifestoes and inspiring ideas on why their political parties and candidates will transform the Local government, State or this country for the betterment of Nigerians. Let us shun violence, defamatory statement, insults, heated argument, thuggery and other criminal acts. Our political leaders are usually friends as such party faithfuls, supporters and diehard politicians at wards level should play fair politics as we are all Nigerians.
