ABIA GOVT TO ENFORCE COMMERCIAL VEHICLE REGISTRATION.(PHOTO).

  The Abia State Government has announced plans to strictly enforce the registration of commercial vehicles operating within the state. This decision was made known by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, during a briefing with journalists on the outcome of the executive council meeting. According to Prince Kanu, the registration of commercial vehicles is still ongoing, and those yet to comply are encouraged to do so. The state government has been working to sanitize the transport sector, and this initiative is part of those efforts. In addition to the enforcement of commercial vehicle registration, the state government has also completed five road projects under the direct Labour initiative. These projects include: - Road Repairs: 19.5km Umuahia-Bende road, phase 1 and 2 - Maintenance Work: 1.76 KM Igbere junction to Onu roundabout - Reconstruction: 2.5Km Umuokogbuo road - Rehabilitation: 8.3 Isieketa-Obikabia road Isialangwa South LGA and the Obehie-Ezendioma road ...
