 "Worth It" — Woman Pleads Guilty to Fatally Shooting 11-Month-Old Son to Keep Him From Father Madeline Veronique Daly, 36, pleaded guilty this week in Silver City, New Mexico, to first-degree murder in the December 23, 2025 killing of her 11-month-old son, Basil Stoner. Grant County deputies had tracked her to an RV off Highway 15 on a Wyoming kidnapping warrant after she took the baby during a custody dispute with his father, Jake Stoner. While officers waited for a warrant and tried to negotiate, Daly put a 9mm handgun to the boy’s face and fired. According to the criminal complaint, Daly told investigators her thought when she saw law enforcement approach was: “Jake can’t get Basil.” After her arrest she said it was “worth it” if Basil’s father and his family never got him.      It was prayer galore for Nigeria on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at the Deeper Life Bible Church, Gbagada, Lagos.
The church played host to Nigeria Prays, an intercessory organization led by former Head of State, Gen Yakubu Gowon, and it was time to besiege Heaven for diverse areas of need in the country-security, agriculture, education, economy, the 2019 elections-and many others.
Gen Gowon was accompanied by his wife, former First Lady, Victoria, while the Chief Host was Pastor W.F Kumuyi, General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, assisted by his wife, Pastor Esther.
Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, was represented by Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Okey Enelamah (standing behind) while President Muhammadu Buhari was represented by his media adviser, Mr Femi Adesina.
