 Judge rejects Amy Winehouse's father’s lawsuit over sale of singer’s personal items  A London judge has ruled against Mitch Winehouse in a legal dispute over the sale of personal belongings once owned by his late daughter, singer Amy Winehouse. Mitch Winehouse, who serves as the administrator of the singer’s estate, brought the case against Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay, alleging they improperly profited from the sale of her memorabilia. He claimed the pair had no right to sell the items and did so without his knowledge, arguing they should not have benefited from the auctions. Amy Winehouse died in 2011 at the age of 27 from alcohol poisoning at her home in London, bringing an end to a career that made her one of the most recognizable voices of her generation. The dispute centered on roughly 150 personal items, including clothing, accessories, and stage pieces such as dresses, shoes, scarves, earrings, and handbags.       The much awaited 13th Ikeja City Award will take central stage as top celebrities, the who-is-who, residents and indigenes of the capital City and the commercial nerve Centre of Lagos State will be honoring and recognizing the most deserved in the entire community. According to the organizing committee, top events are already lined up for the day which will be held at the PRESKEN HOTEL AND RESORTS LTD 17 Alade Avenue, off Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos State. One of the important and crucial highlights of the event will be the topic of discussion themed: “THE ROLE OF GOOD GOVERNANCE IN SUSTANING THE DEVELOPMENT OF GRASSROOTS”. With this theme, the organizers’ target was to further foster the mutual and cordial relationship of the Lagos State House of Assembly and that of the residents and indigenes of the state, most importantly those who abide in the grassroots. the organizing committee also realize the passion and knack of the ebullient Chairman of Ikeja Local Govbernment Area, Honourable Majeed Balogun who is also an ardent grassroots personality. These personalities are hereby honoured alongside others like the Executive Chairmen of local govenment Area also ,individuals that cut across other works of life that will be honoured, albeit deservingly. Also listed as awardees are corporate organizations that have and are still creating job opportunities for the many youths of the zone. This will go in no small measures to appreciate their efforts towards erectly alleviating poverty in Ikeja Local Government Area and its environs Finally, the organizing committee will also want to recognize the royal father and other leaders of the entire Ikeja LGA communities while not leaving aside the security agencies and others that have hitherto ensured utmost security in the area. Entertainment will be totally ensured on the event’s day amidst tight security as guaranteed by the organizing committee.
