Refreshing your memory, Baba Ijesha was arrested and sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for raping a minor, who is the adopted daughter of comedian Princess. Giving an update on the case in a recent interview, he said Baba Ijesha’s appeal process is still ongoing in court. He claimed that there was no evidence that he slept with the hole; hence, the judge didn’t sentence him to life imprisonment. Yomi stated that Princess called Baba Ijesha to shoot a skit, and the girl also made a similar statement in court. A young man in his late 20's has been shot dead by armed robbers at the permanent site of Federal Polytechnic Oko campus.
The young man who's name could not be ascertained as at the time of the incident yesterday night (01/11/2018), was revealed to be a final year student of the department of Banking and Finance of the Polytechnic.
Students who resides at the Permanent Site of the school campus, scampered for safety at the sound of gunshots only to discover the young man lying in the pool of his blood when calmness returned.
The reason for his shooting to death is not yet clear but many students alleged that, he was dragging his Android phone with the robbers, before he was shot and the presumed robbers sped off on their motorbike.
Many parts of Federal Polytechnic Oko, are becoming unsafe for students, who have become targeted victims of organised crime, notorious among which is phone snatching at nights.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
