 MODEL COLLEGES/UPGRADED JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS COMMENCE E-REGISTRATION FOR YEAR 2025 ENTRANCE EXAMINATION The Lagos State Government has commenced Year 2025 e-Registraton Entrance Examination (Screening Test) for primary 6 pupils transiting to junior secondary schools into its Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.  The Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu confirmed that the e-Registration will commence on Thursday 6th February and ends on Friday, 16th May, 2025, adding that the Screening will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) only between Wednesday, 28th May and Friday, 30th May, 2025, at the various CBT designated centres across the State. Mr. Orunsolu stressed that qualified pupils from public and private Schools are to pay a sum of #10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) for the Application. BENUE AUTO CRASH: PDP MOURNS DEAD MEMBERS+DECLARES THEM HEROES.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the PDP Presidential Campaign Organization (PPCO) lament the death of its loyal and dedicated members of our great party and other Nigerians in a ghastly motor accident in Benue state.
The party bemoans the painful death of the members and described them as heroes of democracy, who paid the supreme price in the course of their commitment towards rescuing our dear nation from shackles of misrule.
The PDP leadership is particularly pained that these party faithful died on their way to the flag-off of the PDP Benue South Senatorial campaign, in their quest to ensure an acceptable, people-oriented representation of their zone in the Senate.
The PDP commends Governor Samuel Ortom, other leaders and members of the party in Benue state for their interventions and charged members from other states to join in extending their hands of fellowship towards the bereaved and the wounded at this critical time.
The party also called on members to ensure that the deceased did not die in vain by remaining united in working harder, now, more than ever before, to ensure the party’s victory in all elections in the state.
While praying for the peaceful repose of the soul of the dead and speedy recovery for the wounded, the party deeply condoles with their families, the PDP Benue Chapter as well as the government and people of Benue state, for this tragedy.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
