  Group Partners Anambra Government On Aquaculture Development, Training Of Fish Farmers By Chukwuka Ugokwe  The Anambra State Government is to collaborate with a  Non Governmental Organisation, Solidaridad, to train fish farmers and develop aquaculture sector activities in line with revolutionazing the state's agriculture economy. Solidaridad West Africa, is an international non profit and solution oriented organisation that works with relevant actors in the agricultural and non agricultural sectors promoting sustainable and inclusive commodity value chains across the globe. Rising from an engagement meeting with the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Forster Ihejiofor, in his office, they noted that the collaboration would go a long way in stimulating the production of fishery and aquaculture in the state. GOV. WIKE DESCRIBES THE PASSAGE OF FORMER PRESIDENT SHEHU SHAGARI AS A SAD LOSS TO THE COUNTRY.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has described the passage of the First Democratically Elected President of Nigeria, Alhaji Shehu Shagari as a sad loss to the entire country.
In a condolence message on Friday Night, Governor Wike commiserated with the government and people of Sokoto State over the death of the eminent statesman.
Governor Wike stated that the Former President died at a time the entire nation would have benefited from his guidance during an important election circle.
He said that Late Former President Shehu Shagari would be remembered for his patriotic contributions to the development of the country.
While praying for the repose of the soul of Late Former President Shehu Shagari, Governor Wike also prayed God to grant the immediate family the strength to bear this great loss.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up. The Appellant is an actor. He acted in a script that he was invited to act by his colleague (PW1), Damilola Adekoya,” he said.
