 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.      Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has described the passage of the First Democratically Elected President of Nigeria, Alhaji Shehu Shagari as a sad loss to the entire country.
In a condolence message on Friday Night, Governor Wike commiserated with the government and people of Sokoto State over the death of the eminent statesman.
Governor Wike stated that the Former President died at a time the entire nation would have benefited from his guidance during an important election circle.
He said that Late Former President Shehu Shagari would be remembered for his patriotic contributions to the development of the country.
While praying for the repose of the soul of Late Former President Shehu Shagari, Governor Wike also prayed God to grant the immediate family the strength to bear this great loss.
