The Government categorically refutes claims of lopsidedness and emphasizes its unwavering commitment to the principles of fairness, equity, and national unity. All appointments are made in strict adherence to federal character principle, as enshrined in Section 14 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as Altered). The Wife of the state Governor, Chief (Mrs) Ebelechukwu Obiano, today 5th December, met with the wives of traditional rulers in the state.
The wife of a traditional ruler is known as 'Oche Eze' which loosely translates to seat of the King, showing close affinity of the Kingship with the spouse, as the wives met on the agenda of improving government-rural women relationship, rural development targeting the women and empowerment of women.The wife of the traditional ruler of Awka, Oche Eze, Nora Namwinga Nwosu was present, the wife of Ezeuzu II of Awka, HRM Gibson Nwosu though from Monze Zambia, is a great emancipator of women and an embodiment of African and specifically Igbo culture, as a clown parading himself as traditional ruler wife could not be seen talk more of heard''.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
