 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.       The Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (NASEME), Auchi, Major General Dickson Ehiorobo, today 26th December, 2018 organized End of the Year Party for Barrack Youths and Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives Association at EME Barracks, Auchi, Edo State.
Speaking at the event, the Commandant noted that it is important to celebrate the Barrack Youths and their parents for supporting the activities of the school over time. He further charged the Soldiers Wives Association to continue to keep the home front safe especially those whose husbands were involved in the various internal security operations and the fight against terrorism and insurgency in the North East. He assured parents and the youths that the school will continue to reward hard work and urged them to to promote peace in the Barrack.
The party was indeed colourful as it draw participants within the host communities. Participants that graced the occasion praised the good initiative which happens to be the first of its kind in the barracks.
They also praised the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai whose exemplary leadership qualities has reflected on his appointees. The occasion which was grace by senior officers and Soldiers of the school, featured variety of dances, sharing of foods and drinks to the the delight of all.
