 "Worth It" — Woman Pleads Guilty to Fatally Shooting 11-Month-Old Son to Keep Him From Father Madeline Veronique Daly, 36, pleaded guilty this week in Silver City, New Mexico, to first-degree murder in the December 23, 2025 killing of her 11-month-old son, Basil Stoner. Grant County deputies had tracked her to an RV off Highway 15 on a Wyoming kidnapping warrant after she took the baby during a custody dispute with his father, Jake Stoner. While officers waited for a warrant and tried to negotiate, Daly put a 9mm handgun to the boy’s face and fired. According to the criminal complaint, Daly told investigators her thought when she saw law enforcement approach was: “Jake can’t get Basil.” After her arrest she said it was “worth it” if Basil’s father and his family never got him.       New photographs of The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their family, and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been released.
The photographs feature on Their Royal Highnesses’ Christmas cards this year.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were photographed in the gardens of Clarence House during the summer by Hugo Burnand.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s photograph was taken in the Autumn at Anmer Hall by the photographer Matt Porteous and shows The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex today shared a new photograph from their Wedding Reception at Frogmore House on 19th May. The photograph, which was taken by photographer Chris Allerton, features on Their Royal Highnesses’ Christmas card this year.
