  NBC bans Eedris Abdulkareem’s protest song ‘Tell Your Papa’ from radio, TV The National Broadcasting Commission has barred Nigerian radio and television stations from airing the trending song “Tell Your Papa” by veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem, citing its “objectionable nature.” In a memo dated April 9, 2025 and issued by the Coordinating Director of Broadcast Monitoring, Susan Obi, the commission declared the track Not To Be Broadcast (NTBB) under Section 3.1.8 of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code. This section prohibits content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of public decency from being aired on Nigerian broadcast platforms. According to the NBC, while the song has gained momentum across social media platforms, its lyrical content fails to meet the standards of responsible broadcasting.  Reply: Good evening
Question: Can you introduce yourself to my readers and to your fans too and how you started yourr music career? 
Reply: I am Bright Chimezie Ekeh by name aka BCHIMEX, I am a young man with a hug passion for music. Have been singing since I was 6yr old right from my primary school. I belong to my church choir where I was the song leader having a band when I was 14yrs old and have been going for different concert for ministration and for different competition as well of which I came out one of the best.
Question: What position are you in your house?
Reply: I am the last born out of 5. Although one is already late. I and my big sis live with my mom since my dad left to glory.
Question: When did you notice you have the passion for music?
Reply: I noticed I have this grace and love for music being in a particular concert one night the guest speaker made a comment that stirred my heart into making my own song. Quoting him: he said when will people start singing our own songs? Since that day I was challenged to work on myself.
2O17, I got more enthusiasm to do something, then I started praying about it, after some few days I got a lyrics, I wrote it down and started going for section in a friend's studio.
Glory be to God I now have one of my song released online and 3-others yet to be released as well as I keep on working on The new ones.
Question: Are you limiting your performance to just your church and limited occasion?
 Reply: I am open to any kind of invitation pertaining to music that concerns the gospel, because I also have a mindset of being a blessing to souls with my singing ability, and I do believe my desire is working out by grace.
Question: Which city in Lagos were you born?
  Reply: I was born in AJ city aka Ajegunle Lagos Apapa.
Question: What are you working on currently?
  Reply: I'm currently working on my 4th single titled "ODGWU''.
