 Akwa Ibom Govt Approves Occupational Safety Department in Public Service The Akwa Ibom State Government has approved the creation of a Department of Occupational Safety in the public service, to be led by a Permanent Secretary under the Office of the Head of Civil Service. The approval was granted during the State Executive Council (EXCO) meeting on Wednesday, presided over by Governor Umo Eno. In a statement on Thursday, Commissioner for Information, Hon. Aniekan Umanah, also announced directives for Sterling Global to halt further land encroachment and creek closures, following complaints from oil-bearing communities. Additionally, the EXCO assigned oversight of the Infrastructure and Asset Management Agency to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government to improve efficiency.

THE DJ, WHO COMMITTED SUICIDE ON THE 2ND OF JAN.2019,WAS LAID TO REST YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

    D.J  Omogaji aka Xgee,who took his own life on the 2nd of January 2019,was laid to rest yesterday at the Ikoyi Cemetery.The late Seun Omogaji was buried in a white casket, and dressed in white outfit, as his family followed through with all his wishes for his funeral, in his alleged Instagram suicide post he put up Yesterday.
The man who was one time an under study DJ to DJ Jimmy Jatt, committed suicide moments after leaving a suicide note on Instagram on Wednesday, January 2nd 2019, and has since been laid to rest.He is survived by his wife of five years and they are blessed with two children.This was his suicide note on Instagram, and what he wanted:ā€œOkay there is a twist to this last respect ppl give to their loved ones when gone ā€¦.. Black as signs of sadness ..but in my case please Rock WHITE Cos i love this colour so much . to all have made smiled and to those i have pissed off trust me im only being Human. Enikorewa i love u so much , Eriayo u name sums it all up u are truly d reason for my Joy . Omobolanle ajoke u know i care .. Moradeke my mum may my God heal u and to my in-Laws Stay Blessed Always ā¤ā€.According to sources ''He allegedly took his own life,some moments after leaving a note on his Instagram page after his wife packed out of his house.He allegedly begged her to return but she refused and he decided to drink sniper''.May his soul rest in peace,Amen.More photos below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. ā€œThe Appellant was set up.
