 Benue Governor Claims Foreign Terrorists Behind Deadly Attacks Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia has alleged that the perpetrators of recent deadly attacks in the state are not Nigerians, describing them as foreign nationals speaking unfamiliar languages and exhibiting non-Nigerian characteristics. The governor made the remarks on Tuesday following a wave of violence that has killed scores and displaced many in the North-Central state. Speaking on the identity of the attackers, Governor Alia emphasized the need to clarify the nature of the threat. “We know Nigerians—by our ethnicities, we can identify a Fulani, Yoruba, or Hausa man. Even traditional herders, we know them, herding with sticks,” he said. “But these attackers come fully armed with AK-47s and 49s. EFCC DECLARES EX-NIA BOSS,AYODELE OKE'S WIFE 'FOLASADE' WANTED.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has declared a former Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayodele Oke and his wife, Folasade, wanted after they failed to answer for fraud charges filed against them.
Justice Chukwujeku Aneke of a Federal High Court Lagos, had on February 7, 2019 issued an arrest warrant on them, consequent upon an oral application by counsel for the EFCC, Rotimi Oyedepo.
Oke and his wife are wanted in connection with the $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23,218,000 cash recovered by the EFCC from an apartment at Osborne Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, in April 2017.
They are facing a four-count charge bordering on money laundering offence to the tune of N13 billion.
One of the counts reads: "That you, Amb. Ayodele Oke and Mrs. Folasade Ayodele Oke between 25th day of August 2015 and 2nd day of September 2015 in Lagos, with in the jurisdiction of this court directly converted $160,777,136.85 property of the Federal Government of Nigeria to your own use which sum you reasonably ought to have known formed part of proceeds of an unlawful act to wit: criminal breach of trust and you thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 15 (2) (d) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) (Amendment) Act 2012 and punishable under Section 15(3) of the same Act".

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
