 Emeka Kalu Withdraws from Abia North Senatorial Race A prominent Labour Party (LP) chieftain in Abia State, Dr. Emeka Kalu, has withdrawn from the Abia North Senatorial District race. Dr. Kalu announced his decision on Wednesday, stating that the move was designed to foster unity within the Labour Party and strengthen support for the administration of Governor Alex Otti ahead of future elections. In a statement issued to party stakeholders and supporters, Kalu explained that his withdrawal came after wide consultations and a careful assessment of the prevailing political situation in the party. He emphasized that the decision was taken in the overall interest of the party’s cohesion and success in Abia State.

     President Muhammadu Buhari will launch the Micro Pension Plan (MPP) on Thursday March 28, 2019, at the State House, Abuja.
The MPP is an initiative of the National Pension Commission (PenCom) aimed at providing pension services to self- employed persons in the informal sector and employees of organizations with less than 3 staff.
The MPP is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to bring financial inclusion to all working Nigerians.
