 Texas man arrested with 75 pounds of marijuana in luggage while flying to London, police say A Texas man was arrested at Miami International Airport after authorities found 75 pounds of marijuana in his luggage before he could board a flight to London. Harrison O’Neill Tiernan, 23, from Austin, was charged with cannabis trafficking. He was traveling to Heathrow Airport and had checked two suitcases for his British Airways flight. Inspectors discovered 65 vacuum-sealed packages containing a green, leafy substance later confirmed to be marijuana. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers stopped Tiernan while he attempted to board the flight, and he acknowledged that the bags were his. Authorities noted the inspections were part of broader efforts at the airport due to high outbound narcotics activity. In total, Tiernan was carrying 34.01 kilograms, or 74.98 pounds, of marijuana. CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF COMMENDS TROOPS OF SECTOR 2 OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE FOR CRUSHING BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

     The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, has commended troops of Sector 2, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Damaturu Yobe State, for inflicting a deadly blow on Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) when the bandits attempted to attack Maisandari village at the outskirts of Damaturu on Tuesday the 9th of April, 2019.
The commendation was conveyed by the Theatre Commander Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Major General Benson Akinroluyo, while addressing troops of the Sector at the Headquarters 233 Battalion Damaturu on Thursday the 11th of April 2019 when he visited the Sector.
He charged the troops to remain professional and responsive at all times so as to be able to effectively deal with Boko Haram terrorism in their area of operation.
Similarly, he applauded the efforts of the Air Component of Operation LAFIYA DOLE, other sister security agencies and law abiding citizens for their support and cooperation which led to the successes recorded.
He enjoined security agencies to continue to collaborate so as to deny terrorists freedom of action.
Major General Akinroluyo was received and briefed by the Commanding Officer 233 Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Mohammed. The Acting Commander, Sector 2, Brigadier General Mohammed Dala, Commander 27 Task Force Brigade, Brigadier General Akinniyi Oyelade were in the entourage of the Theatre Commander.
