 Chiziterem Recovers Fully as Anambra Govt Reaffirms Child Protection Commitment ‎ ‎ ‎By Ginika Oguji ‎ ‎ ‎The Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, on July 18 supervised the discharge of young  Chiziterem who was allegedly abused in Awada Obosi, after weeks of treatment at the Comprehensive Medical Center Awkuzu. ‎ ‎Chiziterem received free medical care, surgery, psychological and physiotherapy support under the supervision of the Ministry of Health in partnership with the  Office of the First Lady, Mrs Nonye Soludo. ‎ ‎Speaking during the discharge, Dr Obidike said the boy had made full recovery and now stable to unite with his family. “Medically, he has done very well. COUNCILLOR-SHIP BY-ELECTION: CANDIDATES FOR VALIDATION TODAY WEDNESDAY.#PRESS RELEASE.


Image result for inec        The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) will, on Wednesday, April 17, embark on the verification of documents submitted by candidates of political parties contesting for the vacant councillorship seat in Ward A (Obele/ Oniwala) in Surulere Local Government Area of the State.
A statement issued today by LASIEC requested candidates of political parties contesting for the by-election to present original copies of all documents earlier submitted to the Commission alongside their forms for screening, noting that the list of validated candidates will be posted on the Notice Board of the Commission on Thursday, April 18.
It stated further that the register of eligible voters for the election is already on display at the Collation Centre of the Ward located in Obele Odan Primary School, Surulere, urging registered voters to visit the centre to verify their details as contained in the register.
According to the statement, “The Councillorship by-election which will be held in the affected Ward on Saturday, April 27, 2019, is consequent upon the death of the Councillor representing the Ward, Mr. Razak Bello, which occurred a few months ago”.
The statement reiterated the Chairman of the Commission, Hon. Justice Ayotunde Phillips' appeal to residents of the affected ward to be peaceful in their conduct and actively participate in the electoral process by casting a vote for any candidate of their choice.
