 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. LAGOS TASK FORCE ARRESTS 64 MISCREANTS AND 26 NOTORIOUS CULTISTS.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit have arrested 64 miscreants and 26 notorious cultists (Awawa Boys) in Agege area of Lagos.
The Chairman of the Agency, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, who made this known, stated that the 26 notorious cultists, popularly known as “Awawa Boys” were arrested during overnight enforcement operations tagged 'Operation Restore Sanity to Lagos' carried out around 'Isale-oja', 'Funmilayo', 'Ile-pako at Amoo', 'Orile by canal', 'Papa-Ashafa', 'Dopemu' and 'Old Oko-oba' in Agege area of Lagos.
He disclosed further that criminal activities perpetrated by these various cult groups particularly the 'Awawa Boys' have become a serious threat to the lives of residents and innocent members of the public around the area.
CPS Egbeyemi explained that, apart from the ‘Awawa Boys’, the team also arrested some hoodlums during the overnight raid at Oshodi, describing the activities of those arrested as a threat to the well-being of residents in the State.
He said that 'Operation Restore Sanity to Lagos' would be a continuous exercise and will be extended to every other part of Lagos that are ‘hotspots’ for criminals and their cohorts.
