 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly. GOV. ORTOM CONSOLES LOBI STARS FOOTBALL CLUB OVER COACH'S DEATH.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

    Governor Samuel Ortom deeply commiserates with the Board, Management, staff and players of Lobi Stars Football Club, over the death of their Technical Adviser, Coach Solomon Ogbeide who died on Monday, 20th May, 2019 in Makurdi.
The Governor describes the death of coach Ogbeide as a painful loss not only to his family and Lobi Stars, but also to the entire state and country at large.
He says coach Ogbeide's time as Lobi Stars' Technical Adviser brought several success stories to the state among which are the club's emergence as winners of last season's Nigerian Premier League and its qualification for the group stage of the 2018/2019 CAF Champions League.
Governor Ortom says the late football tactician was a humble and hardworking man whose commitment and selfless disposition will be greatly missed by his players and thousands of fans of the club.
The Governor sends condolences to the government and people of Edo, the home state of late coach Ogbeide. He prays God to grant the deceased eternal rest and his family the strength to bear the loss.
